Sunday Message - Rev. John Strickland

Just Stand Up!
June 13 | 11:00 AM
Via Zoom/Facebook Live

There was a group of friends "tubing " down a lazy River, only two feet deep. Only one member of the group did not know how to swim. The others convinced him that they would be close by and would take care of him if anything happened. Wouldn't you know it...the tube began to leak for the one who couldn't swim. He panicked and his fear overwhelmed him. A friend nearby grabbed him firmly by the shoulders and yelled, "Just stand up!" He did as told and the crisis disappeared.

Have we ever been in a situation like that? I have. And what was needed was for a firm but gentle hand to hold me while I was reminded that I had everything I needed to be safe and secure. I say to you, "Whatever situation you may be facing, be calm and centered in God's Truth. Then, just stand up! Know the truth and the truth will set you free!
