Rev. Terrence Padgett is an ordained Unity Minister of 12+ years who is currently the Ministry Consultant and Regional Representative for the S.E. Region. He is also a Certified Peacemaker and Transitional Consultant for Unity Worldwide Ministries. Since October of 2008, he has served three Unity Ministries as their Transitional Minister, each lasting a period of 14-16 months.
As a Ministry Consultant, he assists a spiritual community in recognizing that issues and growth-related challenges are a means of creating authentic community. This can be accomplished through congregational processes such as “Board and Leadership Training,” “Life Visioning,” workshops such as, “Making Peace with the Past"; "Creating Our Future,” “Healthy Congregations,” and “Identifying Your Spiritual Gifts.”
The purpose of such programs is in creating a thriving, congruent, and integral community, in which personal insight and skills can be used in every aspect of individual and congregational life. Rev. Padgett states, “Everything I do is designed to raise spiritual and self-awareness while encouraging ownership of the community.”
Rev. Padgett has also completed a one-year CPE (Certified Pastoral Education) residency as a Hospital Chaplain in the Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro, NC. He and his wife, Rev. Sheryl Padgett (Sr. Minister, of Unity in Augusta, GA) and his 2 stepchildren Isaac and Valla, reside in Martinez, GA.
